WHAT
HAVE WE BEEN WORKING ON?
Application of AI Framework for School and Sector Leaders
Originally a collaborative project with Big Education UK, and endorsed by Rose Luckin, CEO of Educate Ventures Research. The Application of AI Framework was carefully created to support sector and school leaders in their application of artificial intelligence.
Together, when used and implemented with an accompanying AI Policy, Strategic Action Plan and CPD it provides purpose, potential and perspective and helps to mitigate the risk, leverage its potential and instil intelligence of AI.

One:One or Shared Device Scheme
*
Implementing and embedding a One:One Scheme across a school or trust can close the digital divide, enhance student education and employability, yet it requires strategic and financial planning, change management, a clear policy and purpose, stakeholder training (including parents), considered communication and consisent procedure and practice.
Whether you are gradually rolling out a One:One Device Scheme or increasing the access to devices across the school, we can help explore appropriate devices, lead the CPD, consider the environmental, financial, health and societal implications and ensure all stakeholders buy into the scheme.

Digital Curriculum
*
It is essential for a school and/or trust to create, embed and lead a digital curriculum that is holistic and relevant. Not only relevant to the ever-changing digital ecosystem and technological advances, but also to the context of the school and the demographic that you serve.
Composing a curriculum that covers the knowledge, skill and application for the English Curriculum for Computing is the first step, keeping it relevant to technological advances (such as Robotics, AI and XR) is the next, and better still, ensuring that your curriculum is bespoke to you and your School's values is essential. Computing and STEAM lend themselves brilliantly to project-based learning, which presents opportunities for students to develop values and competencies that ensure they are future-ready.

GLASS Model
Instill Transparent Use of AI
*
A study into Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education (Gonsalves, 2025) found that 74% of students failed to declare AI use. But, when instructors explained their own AI use and boundaries, students were more likely to disclose AI use (Petricini et al., 2025). Supporting Petricini, Ramos (2025) found that “disclosure increased metacognitive reflection and ethical reasoning”. Gil‑Marín & Troeger (2025) via the Experimental Economics Study demonstrated that students often hide AI use because they believe others (including teachers) disapprove.
The Application of AI Framework (Batten, 2026) states that transparent use of AI requires “clear communication and explainability with all stakeholders when, for what and how AI was used.”
Understanding and using the GLASS Model and icons will create a culture of openness and honesty benefitting academic integrity. The GLASS Model’s icons represent when, for what and how AI has been used, and subsequently become the catalyst of conversation around acceptable and accountable AI used.
